South Bay Yellow Cab

It's not very often I use a taxi to get anywhere.  However, I was in desperate need of taxi.  I had to deliver a vehicle to another location.  I tried using my AAA card but they wouldn't tow the car unless car is broken down.  I told them I'm willing to pay for the service but they quoted over 140 dollars for the service provided by their recommended towing company.  My call was transferred to that towing company and was advised that the wait will be 2 hours.  So I said screw it, I drove the vehicle to my destination and took the taxi back.  By doing this, I saved about 90 dollars. I called the number for South Bay Yellow Cab and dispatch has advised me that my ride will arrive in about 10 to 15 minutes.  After I hung up my phone, they sent me a text message to confirm my request. I walked outside and my taxi driver was already pulling up.  I was amazed. It didn't take more than 6 minutes for my ride to arrive. One thing to note is that my ride did not have the "South Bay Yellow Cab" label on the vehicle.  However, the four digit vehicle number mentioned on the text message matched what was on the vehicle.  I asked the driver to make sure it was my ride.  He confirmed that it was.  He had LCD screen near the center console and it had my address and my first name on there to prove it.  I guess the days of CB radios (which can easily be intercepted) are over. I appreciated the fact that the driver drove smoothly and safely all the way to my destination, no reckless driving! Driver didn't try to cheat me by driving around in circle.  He took the most direct route to my destination. I'd definitely use them again!
